Character Spotlight: Friday Foster
You know you’re cool when Pam Grier plays you in the movie.
Friday Foster made history as the first black female character to star in her own mainstream syndicated comic strip. The strip, named after the main character Friday Foster, launched in the early months of 1970. The concept was created by writer Jim Lawrence and artist Jorge Longeron. Seventeen lovely scans from Friday Foster after the jump.
