I’m so very happy you did. What’s the story behind the monument?

It’s ~apparently the site of where Neil first a ride in an airplane for the first time:

It’s really bizarre, actually. It sortof appeared. It’s literally sitting in a corner of a parking lot of a KMart and a grocery store, there is a McDonalds right next to it (which I then went to to eat my feelings).

It’s kindof sad because it feels like no one takes care of it. There are some small gardens that someone obviously tends to, but the big LM and models of the Saturn and the Titan rockets are kindof falling apart, and they’ve only been there for like 5 years.

One of the little posts holding up the chain around the LM had fallen down. I fixed it while I was there.
